Self-Made Agency ("we", "us") is a paid media management agency. We plan and run advertising campaigns for e-commerce brands. This policy explains what data we collect, why we access data inside our clients' advertising accounts, and how we protect it.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to selfmade-agency.com
- Businesses that hire us to manage their advertising
- Data we access through advertising platform APIs on our clients' behalf
We do not sell products to consumers, and we do not operate a consumer app or service. Our clients are businesses.
Information we collect
From people who contact us. If you reach out by email or WhatsApp, we keep your name, contact details and the content of the conversation, so that we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed.
From our clients. Business contact details, billing information, and the details we need to run campaigns: store URLs, target markets, product information and budgets.
From advertising platforms. When a client grants us access to their advertising account, we read performance data from that account — see the section below.
From this website. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting. We do not use this site to build advertising profiles of visitors.
Advertising platform data
We only read aggregate campaign data. We do not download, store or process the personal data of our clients' customers. We do not access individual customer records, email lists, or contact details through these integrations.
With explicit permission from each client, we connect to their accounts on platforms such as Google Ads, Pinterest, Meta, Klaviyo and Shopify. Access is granted by the client through each platform's own permission system, and can be revoked by them at any time, directly on the platform, without needing to ask us.
Through these connections we read:
- Advertising spend, impressions, clicks and conversions
- Campaign, ad group and creative performance metrics
- Revenue attributed to campaigns, at an aggregate level
- Account and campaign names, so reports are readable
We use this data for three purposes only:
- To manage and optimise the campaigns we run for that client
- To produce performance reports for that client
- To calculate our fee, where it is based on managed ad spend
Data from one client is never used for another client, never combined across clients, and never used to train models or build audience segments.
How we protect data
- Access credentials are stored encrypted and are never shared outside our team
- Our internal reporting tools require two-factor authentication
- Team members only have access to the clients they work on
- All connections to our systems use encrypted (HTTPS) transport
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to run our business — such as hosting and accounting — and only to the extent needed. We may also disclose data where required by law.
How long we keep it
Campaign and billing records are kept for as long as the client relationship lasts, and afterwards for the period required by accounting and tax law. When a client ends their contract, our access to their advertising accounts stops and any stored credentials are deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or request a copy in a portable format. Write to admin@selfmade-agency.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Clients will be notified directly of changes that affect how we handle their data.
